What are pipe rings?
Mill pipelines consist of many pipe sections joined together. Pipe rings (in Turkish, “zaviye”) join two pipe ends centred, aligned and sealed. The rings, slid onto or welded to the pipe ends, are tightened together with a clamp and seal to form a firm joint.
Why they matter
- Alignment: they keep both pipe ends on the same axis and prevent a step at the joint.
- Sealing: they stop air leaks in pneumatic lines and dust leaks in gravity spouts.
- Easy removal: pipe sections can be taken apart and refitted quickly for maintenance and cleaning.
Steps and leaks
Even a small step at a joint makes product strike, build up and wear the pipe at that point. In pneumatic lines, air leaks reduce conveying capacity and waste fan energy. That is why the rings must match the pipe diameter exactly and the seal must seat properly.
Fitting tips
- Make sure pipe ends are cut square and deburred.
- Place the rings at equal distance on the pipe ends.
- Seat the seal without twisting and tighten the clamp evenly.
- After joining, check the inside for steps.
Send us the pipe diameter and wall thickness and we will supply the right pipe rings.
