The purifier and vibration
A purifier separates semolina from bran particles using inclined vibrating sieves and air drawn up through them. So that the sieve box can vibrate as intended without passing vibration to the frame and building, it rests on or is carried by purifier rubber mounts.
The mount’s two jobs
- Support and flex: it carries the sieve box weight while allowing the vibrating motion.
- Isolation: it keeps vibration from the frame, reducing noise, structural fatigue and shaking passed to neighbouring machines.
Why equal stiffness matters
Several mounts work together on a purifier. If their stiffness differs, or some have aged more than others, the box vibrates unevenly. Product then drifts to one side of the sieve, and sifting efficiency and semolina quality fall. Replacing mounts as a set is therefore recommended.
Signs of wear
- Cracks, tears or crushing on the rubber,
- Separation between the metal fitting and the rubber,
- Uneven or skewed box vibration and more noise,
- Permanent flattening of the mount.
Send us the purifier make and model or the dimensions of the current mount and we will supply the right mounts.
